I want the Mormon founder Joseph Smith painted in the style of a medieval Catholic or Orthodox religious icon (portrait of a saint), with Catholic/Orthodox religious elements replaced with period-appropriate Mormon ones. Feel free to take some creative license. This is Mormon kitsch. Will probably be included in a series of postcards and in a coffee table book, as well as on other merch such as coffee mugs. The image should seem like a serious, sober creation (though really it's a sort of joke).

Requirements
Must have
- Must have a recognizable likeness of Joseph Smith in the style and pose of a medieval saint. Whether he wears a nineteenth-century suit or a medieval robe is up to you, but if he wears his nineteenth-century suit then you will need to make skillful use of artistic style in order to evoke a medieval icon. Try, for instance, a stylized halo around the head.
Nice to have
- Gold paint was popular in medieval icons, so using lots of gold in your image is a good place to start. Include some Mormon iconography. For instance, he can be shown holding the Book of Mormon or in front of the Nauvoo Temple. See attached file for more Mormon iconography as well as for examples of medieval icons.
Should not have
- Don't include crosses in the image. Crosses were popular in medieval icons but Mormons aren't fans of them.
- I am looking for original art, not a Photoshop pastiche. Don't just cut and paste Joseph Smith's head from one of the existing paintings of him.
