Thanks for submitting a logo design! We really appreciate all the participation.

We were able to provide ratings and feedback for a few of the early designs, but then got caught up in meetings today.

We'll provide more ratings and feedback tomorrow. In the meantime, here are some key things we are looking for in the logos...

* Icon should be orchid-related (ideally an orchid)
* We're leaning toward OrchidPro in mixed case rather than ORCHIDPRO
* We would like "Pro" to be more prominent than "Orchid"
* The font should work well with the icon and ideally make the logo more memorable
* We're leaning toward realistic styles of orchids (but trying to keep an open mind for particularly interesting designs that are a bit more abstract)
* The main logo needs to have the icon on the left of the text (though we will want a variation with the icon on top of the text, etc.)

Nice work everyone. I've gathered most of the logos to send to our team for review, and we'll be posting more ratings and feedback tomorrow (Saturday), and will have even more feedback on Sunday and Monday.

We will likely select a final design on or before the end of the day Tuesday, July 30th.

ATTENTION DESIGNERS:

A few people on our team suggested that having the O in Orchid or Pro be shaped like a magnifying glass looking at an orchid (or partial orchid) would be interesting.

Much of the application is focused on searching.

For a concept like that to work, it would have to be very simple so it would still be clear at small sizes.

Something to consider if you want your logo to stand out.

It is requested that in case the artwork is not up to your expectations, simply eliminate it.
Please don't give it low rating. It badly effects overall rating of the artist.

Our team is currently reviewing all logos offline (we printed them all to make it easier for the team to sort favorites and decide what we like and don't like), and we'll be providing feedback tomorrow (Thursday, August 1st)
